The Program Dietary Aide is responsible for managing and organizing the kitchen; prepping, preparing, and serving meals; ordering food based on a provided menu; maintaining a clean kitchen; and adhering to Health Department and Licensing Standards.

Description for Full-Time Dietary Aide:

• Must be self-motivated and driven to plan ahead and adhere to the provided menu, serving meals on time.
• Must be able to read a recipe and make adjustments in order to prepare meals for up to 25 people.
• Be aware of student dietary needs, exclusions, allergies, and strictly adhere to them.
• Must have knowledge of or be willing to learn about how food/nutrition contributes to the overall well-being of a person.
• Must be willing to problem solve and contribute ideas and solutions to the overall team effort.
• Must be willing to identify any areas that need to be cleaned, disinfected, organized or maintained and follow provided checklists.
• Assure Health Department regulations are observed.
• Communicate effectively in both oral and written form.
• Manage time and efforts efficiently, follow instructions, and complete delegated tasks.
• Physically able to lift at least 50 lbs.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

  Requirements for (Full-Time) Program Cook:
  
  • 20 years of age or older
  • Pass a background check
  • Obtain a Food Handlers Permit (within 1 week of hire)
  • Valid drivers license & reliable transportation
