About the RoleWe are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Team Leader to join our Produce Department at Whole Foods Market - Wellington. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading and developing our team members, driving sales and profitability, and delivering an exceptional customer experience.Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing team of team members to achieve sales, purchasing, and labor targets.
• Develop and maintain creative store layouts and product merchandising to drive sales and customer engagement.
• Work closely with the Team Leader to analyze sales reports, identify areas for improvement, and implement strategies to increase profitability.
• Maintain advanced product knowledge and stay up-to-date on new products to provide exceptional customer service.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors to negotiate pricing, promotions, and other business opportunities.
• Resolve team concerns and issues in a fair and timely manner to maintain a positive work environment.
• Act as the point person and departmental leader in the absence of the Team Leader to ensure seamless store operations.
• Set and achieve the highest standards of retail execution, including visual merchandising, store cleanliness, and inventory management.
• Foster a positive environment of teamwork, mutual respect, and exceptional morale to drive employee engagement and retention.
• Monitor customer flows and needs, and direct team members to ensure exceptional customer satisfaction and loyalty.Requirements
  • 18+ months retail Team Member experience and 6+ months of supervisory experience.

  • Demonstrated decision-making ability, leadership skills, and ability to prioritize and delegate.Working Conditions
    • Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
    • In an 8-hour work day: standing/walking 6-8 hours.
    • Hand use: single grasping, fine manipulation, pushing and pulling.
    • Work requires the following motions: bending, twisting, squatting and reaching.
    • Exposure to FDA approved cleaning chemicals.
    • Exposure to temperatures: 90 degrees Fahrenheit.
    • Ability to work in a wet and cold environment.
    • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
    • Ability to use tools and equipment, including box cutters, electric pallet jacks, and other heavy machinery.
